The Classics

As a male in my early 20's, I am not too familiar with the old classic movies of the 40's 50's and 60's. Other then seeing the posters here at movieposter.com I haven't seen the majority of the classic films. It surprises my co-workers to know that I haven't seen Gone With the Wind, An Affair To Remember, Breakfast At Tiffanys and other big names. I never even thought to consider females of that era attractive, sure i hear people mention that Elizabeth Tailor was a beautiful woman, but all I know of her, is that she is self centred and seems to have had a little too much surgery. I personally wouldn't consider her attractive. I think about the female leading ladies i find attractive today like Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba, and then i see images of Audrey Hepburn and I know if she was in her 20's today, she would be as popluar and considered as sexy as any of the big named Female celebrities now.

Unfortunatly, it is almost impossible to find these classic movies to rent these days. Sometimes I wish i was born in decades past so i can experience what was once considered beautiful.

Anticipation

Dun dun dun dun da dun, dun da dun...

I know you can hear it repeating over and over in your mind. Darth Vader is coming =)

I have been waiting for this for a long time. The trailers on starwars.com have depicted well the transformation of Aniken. So many quotes from the origonal trilogy stand out in my mind,

Governor Tarkin: Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Darth Vader: He is here.
Governor Tarkin: What makes you think so?
Darth Vader: A tremor in the Force. The last time I felt it was in the presence of my old master.
Governor Tarkin: Surely he must be dead by now.
Darth Vader: Don't underestimate the Force.

Darth Vader: There is no escape. Don't make me destroy you. [pauses] Luke, you do not yet realize your importance. You have only begun to discover your power. Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy.
Luke Skywalker: I'll never join you!
Darth Vader: If you only knew the *power* of the dark side. Obi-wan never told you what happened to your father.
Luke Skywalker: He told me enough! He told me *you* killed him.
Darth Vader: No. *I* am your father

Continuity will be the key to this movies success. From what I've seen on the starwars site, it seems as though Lucas is going to re-create the first about 15 mins of Star Wars: A New Hope, in an attempt to make the series flow better, but only time will tell =)

Here are the movie posters for Star Wars: Epsode III Revenge of the Sith:

both posters also come in reprints (which are less expensive)
